Excel Removals – Terms and Conditions Quote Acceptance
- Quote Accuracy
All quotes provided by Excel Removals are based on the information supplied by the customer at the time of booking. This includes, but is not limited to, the volume of goods, access at pickup and delivery locations, the presence of stairs or lifts, and any additional services requested. - Changes on Moving Day
If there is any variance between the information provided and the actual conditions or requirements on moving day, Excel Removals reserves the right to revise the original quote. This may result in additional charges to cover extra time, labour, equipment, or services required. - Customer Responsibility
It is the customer’s responsibility to provide accurate and complete details during the quoting process. Failure to do so may lead to delays or increased costs, for which Excel Removals is not liable. - Payment Terms
A payment of 100% of the quoted amount is required at the time of booking to secure your move. Any additional charges incurred on the day due to variations in the original information must be settled immediately prior to commencing the service, unless otherwise agreed in writing. - Access Limitations & Safety Refusal
Excel Removals reserves the right to refuse to move any item where, in our professional judgment, it poses a risk to:
• The safety of our staff,
• The safety of the item or other property, or
• The structural integrity of the building (e.g., walls, stairs, railings, flooring).
If a customer insists that an item be moved despite professional advice, Excel Removals may refuse to do so. Should the customer request we proceed against our advice, the customer must accept full liability for any resulting damage or injury, and this agreement must be acknowledged in writing before proceeding. - Damage to Property or Items
While Excel Removals takes all reasonable care during the handling and transport of goods, we are not liable for:
• Damage to furniture caused by inherent weakness, pre-existing defects, poor construction, or wear and tear.
• Damage resulting from difficult access or restricted movement, including narrow staircases, tight doorways, steep driveways, or similar obstacles.
• Items not packed or prepared by Excel Removals.
• Electrical items (e.g., TVs, fridges, washing machines) not functioning after transit, unless visibly damaged due to mishandling.
Customers are encouraged to discuss transit insurance if coverage for damage or loss is required. - Insurance
Excel Removals carries Public Liability Insurance and Goods-in-Transit coverage. However, this may not cover accidental damage to certain items. Customers are advised to arrange their own insurance for full protection, especially for valuable, delicate, or sentimental items.
Excel Removals holds:
• Public Liability Insurance to cover injury or damage caused by negligence
• Goods-in-Transit Insurance to provide limited coverage for property while in our vehicle
Please note: These policies do not offer full replacement coverage for damaged items. If you require comprehensive protection, we recommend arranging your own Transit Insurance via a third-party provider or requesting a quote from our partnered insurer. - Delays and Cancellations
• Excel Removals is not responsible for delays caused by traffic, weather, road closures, or other circumstances beyond our control.
• Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled move may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the booking amount.
